SERVICE
Pluskey is an independent technical support team specializing in the battery field.
We work closely with our clients' technologies and strategies—organizing how technology is used, evaluated, and communicated and provide hands‑on support all the way to implementation.
Challenges around battery materials span technology, strategy, quality, and the complexity of learning. Pluskey offers a set of hands‑on services that organize these into practical, usable forms for day‑to‑day work.
- Visualize potential applications and customers
- Organize selling points and advise on evaluation criteria
- Design data collection so potential adopters can evaluate easily
- Identify key decision‑makers and build access
For those who want a partner to think through the path to market for their materials
Are you moving forward without a clear idea of “who to sell to” or “how to explain it so it resonates”?
Pluskey bridges performance analysis with the customer’s perspective, working alongside you to develop materials that are chosen in the market.
- Summarize and structure patents, papers, and technical materials
- Read design intents and competitive differences
- Clarify what parts of a patent set are usable and what to avoid
For those who want to connect scattered technical information and turn it into something usable
You may have patents and papers in hand, but haven’t been able to interpret or organize them.
We structure prior technologies and identify key differentiators, delivering a technical understanding that can be put to work in development and sales.
- Sounding board during product/service planning
- Interpreting press releases and industry news
- Initial checks on procurement risks and safety (e.g., PSE)
- A safe place to discuss topics when you don't know who to ask
For those who don’t need an expensive consultancy, but have no one to talk to about their concerns
Ever find yourself thinking, “I just want to double-check something,” or “I saw this information online—can I trust it?” but have no idea who to ask?
We serve as an external technical partner and sounding board, ready to address the everyday questions and small worries that come up in your work.
- Evaluate the technology and implementation capability of investment/partner candidates
- On‑site review of equipment, processes, and quality management
- Flexible scoping by aligning evaluation items and report format in advance
For those who want a clear-eyed view of whether a technology truly works, can be built, and can be used
Is this technology genuinely viable? Is it worth investing in?
We support adoption and investment decisions by assessing manufacturing readiness, reproducibility, and quality management.
Our focus is on determining a technology’s real-world capability.
- Fundamentals of battery material processes (cathode, anode, separator, electrolyte, etc.)
- Understanding cell structure, process interactions, and dependencies
- Frequent implementation issues and how to avoid them
- Program design and in‑house study sessions
For teams without an in-house guide to the essentials of batteries
Pluskey’s battery training equips researchers with the knowledge and instincts needed on the front lines of material development, evaluation, and implementation.
Our courses are built around real-world challenges and lessons learned from past failures.
In a short time, participants gain both practical know-how and the confidence to discuss it with others.
- Basics of quality control (variation management, spec setting, sources of variation)
- Troubles common to materials (foreign matter, tail of particle size distribution, hygroscopicity, etc.)
- Introducing statistical tools on the shop floor (control charts, Pareto charts, etc.)
- QC document samples and support for internal rules
- Training to explain “the story behind the numbers” in quality reports
- Converting losses into monetary terms to internalize the “pain” of waste
For those who want to make quality visible, discussable, and teachable.
Quality is as much about awareness as it is about measurement.
At Pluskey, we focus on developing people who can communicate about quality rather than emphasizing cutting-edge tools.
We help establish a practical quality culture through loss quantification, articulation of past cases, and development of in‑house educators.
- Material manufacturers entering or expanding in the battery sector
- Companies seeking technical structuring and evaluation frameworks to support sales
- Companies looking to source and integrate external battery-related technologies
- Corporations and venture capital firms aiming to assess feasibility before investing in technology
- Aiming to expand into overseas markets but struggling with technical dialogue with cell manufacturers.
- Limited sales resources between product development and commercialization, requiring external support to build initial track records.
- Interpreted the background and intent behind cell manufacturers’ requirements, and provided guidance on appropriate responses and data collection.
- Supported initial track record building in overseas markets from both technical and marketing perspectives.
- Currently progressing toward enabling targeted customer engagement, even with a lean sales structure.
- Difficulty making an investment decision, as technical feasibility and reproducibility could not be judged from documentation alone.
- Lack of clear metrics to objectively measure “implementation capability.”
- Applied the “Three Actuals” approach—actual place, actual product, actual situation—to evaluate manufacturing systems and quality management in practice.
- Focused not on valuing the company, but on clarifying the “real implementation capability” prioritized by the client.
- Delivered a concrete and objective assessment of the target’s current capability.
- In battery manufacturing, conditions change daily, but there was no established perspective to notice these changes or basic QC methods in place.
- The client was not yet able to clearly articulate what specific issues they were facing.
- Delivered training on quality management mindset and fundamental QC methods.
- Presented potential issues in a tree structure, introducing the concept of proactive, preventive action.
- Helped the client understand the importance of “an eye for change,” leading to gradual adoption of preventive measures in operations.
